American actress Meghan Markle is scheduled to marry the United Kingdom’s Prince Harry in May, but new reports indicate that the wedding may not happen after all, as she seems to be getting cold feet
Daily Mail reported that Meghan has found herself overcome with pre-wedding nerves, and she has reported turned to Harry’s stepmother, Mrs. Camilla Parker Bowles, for help. Meghan and Camilla reportedly recently lunched at Clarence house to talk about the actress’s fears.
Meghan allegedly admires how Camilla has used her talkative personality to overcome public bias. She wanted to consult with Camilla on how informal she can be on public engagements with Harry, and what life will really be like as a working member of the Royal Family.
Rumors are swirling that Meghan is finding the adjustment from television actress to princess-in-waiting a tougher role than she might have envisioned. Meghan reportedly does not like it that she can no longer do spontaneous things that normal people can do, like go out shopping or go to the gym. She also misses the freedom she had on social media, where she blogged about her life regularly to her 1.9 million Instagram followers, 350,000 Twitter fans, and 800,000 Facebook friends. Meghan was forced to delete her social media profiles after her engagement was announced.
“Meghan’s finding getting used to the new life a little tough,” said a source close to her. “She’s always been a free spirit and when she felt strongly about something, or just playful, she could tweet it or use her blog (The Tig). But that’s gone now. Harry told her what it would be like. Even so, it’s all happened so suddenly.”
Meghan has also had difficulty remaining politically neutral like the rest of the British royal family, as she is used to bashing President Donald Trump whenever she pleases. A 2016 interview recently surfaced in which Meghan brutally slammed then-presidential candidate Trump. When Meghan was asked how then-presidential candidate Trump’s momentum could be slowed down, she held nothing back with her response.
“It’s really the moment that I go, we film Suits in Toronto and I might just stay in Canada,” Meghan replied. “I mean come on, if that’s reality we are talking about, come on, that is a game changer in terms of how we move in the world here.”
“Yes of course Trump is divisive. Think about just female voters alone,” she continued. “I think it was in 2012, the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points. That’s a huge number and with as misogynistic as Trump is and so vocal about it, that’s a huge chunk of it. You’re not just voting for a woman if it’s Hillary because she’s a woman, but certainly because Trump has made it easy to see that you don’t really want that kind of world that he’s painting.”
